We are looking for an experienced Information Security Operations professional with strong knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
- Critical Security Controls (CIS)
- Cyber Essentials Plus (CEP)
You should have proven experience in managing and delivering complex Security Operations activities within a fast-paced and dynamic security domain. Familiarity with Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management, Zero Trust, Security Service Edge, and SASE is essential. You must possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex security matters in business terms, ensuring understanding among both technical and non-technical colleagues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. A background in continuous process improvement and experience conducting post-incident reviews is beneficial, and while previous experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) team is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
Responsibilities
As the Information Security Operations Manager, you will lead the implementation of security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of our information. You will be responsible for managing our daily working relationship with an outsourced MDR service provider and leading a team of security professionals. Your duties will also include managing the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and coordinating responses to security incidents. Collaboration with various teams across the British Heart Foundation (BHF) will be crucial to protecting our objectives and maintaining our integrity.
