Must:
We are looking for someone with deep, hands-on experience in PHP, JavaScript, React, HTML, and MySQL. You should have a proven track record as a Lead Developer or Senior Developer, ideally within a high-traffic or retail environment. A strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems is essential. You must possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A passion for code quality, performance, and continuous improvement is important, along with a strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Additionally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK without company sponsorship.
Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Stakeholders to define the technical strategy and solution architecture. Leading and mentoring Developers, you will foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and knowledge sharing. You will be responsible for delivering clean, maintainable, and scalable code across both front-end and back-end systems. Ensuring engineering best practices such as code reviews, thorough testing, and CI/CD will also be part of your responsibilities. You will identify and address performance, scalability, and security concerns while championing Agile principles and contributing to an iterative, collaborative development process.
