Requirements
Must:
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Qualification as an Independent Prescriber.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber.
- Minimum of 1 year experience prescribing Semaglutide (Wegovy) and Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) for weight management and obesity.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
- Indemnity insurance.
We prefer candidates with over 2 years experience working in GP/primary care settings and remote/online services. However, if you have significant experience prescribing medications for weight management, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will have you join our clinical team as a Pharmacist with Independent Prescribing Qualifications. You will work closely with our internal team, which includes technicians, dispensers, healthcare assistants, and other pharmacists. Collaboration with external partners will also be an essential part of your responsibilities. You’ll actively participate in our Weight Management & Obesity service, which involves prescribing Semaglutide (Wegovy) and Tirzepatide (Mounjaro). As part of a multidisciplinary approach, you will work alongside dietitians, psychologists, and health coaches, contributing to some of the most innovative and cutting-edge services available in the UK while gaining valuable experience in a patient-centered environment.
Description
This is a full-time position located in-person at Walton Summit, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 8AR, with the possibility of hybrid remote working after the probation period. Your start date will be flexible, and the rate of pay ranges from £25 to £33 per hour, depending on your experience, with a review following your probationary period.
