Requirements

Must:
We require a Technical Support Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service or technical support role. You should have a proven background in electro-mechanical or security-related products, along with experience in diagnosing and resolving technical issues. A recognized engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience is essential, as well as the ability to understand electro-mechanical concepts and develop appropriate solutions. Prior experience with installing or troubleshooting small to medium IP-based access control or CCTV systems is necessary. Additionally, you should be based within a commutable distance of Leeds.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Support Specialist, I will expect you to be the senior point of contact for resolving technical queries from product installers, end-users, and colleagues, both over the phone and in person. You will guide installers through the setup and configuration of products remotely and assist customers with technical queries by troubleshooting and fault-finding. Your role will also involve delivering pre/post-installation technical advice and providing support with wiring diagrams. I need you to be a product expert, answering questions from customers and colleagues, while striving for high customer satisfaction and a first-time fix rate. Building strong and lasting relationships with customers and testing suspected faulty equipment will also be key parts of your responsibilities.

Description

The salary for this position ranges from £28,000 to £35,000, depending on experience, with performance-related bonuses. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 17:30, and Friday from 08:30 to 16:30. This is a permanent position that includes holiday allowance and a pension.
