To be successful as a Credit Risk Technology Business Analyst, I look for candidates with experience in a related Financial Services discipline and a solid understanding of risk domain knowledge, particularly in PD, LGD, Credit Risk, and IFRS9. I value candidates who have experience working on regulatory projects such as Basel and IFRS9. Highly regarded skills include delivering projects using Agile methodology, proficiency in SQL queries and data models, and experience with BA activities such as impact/data analysis and the delivery of comprehensive reports and presentations for decision-making. A strong ability to take the initiative to resolve issues, investigate, and find solutions is also essential.
Responsibilities
As a Credit Risk Technology Business Analyst, I expect you to support the organization in achieving its strategic objectives by identifying business requirements and solutions that address our business problems and opportunities. Your key accountabilities will include the identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that necessitate change within the organization, the development of business requirements that will address these challenges, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations. You will also support the creation of business cases justifying investment in proposed solutions, conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of these solutions, and oversee the creation of reports on project progress to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, you will create operational and process design to guarantee that solutions remain within the agreed scope and support change management activities, including developing a traceability matrix to ensure successful implementation and embedding of solutions within the organization.

In this role, you will be expected to consult on complex issues and provide guidance to People Leaders to help resolve escalated issues. You will identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies and procedures in support of our control and governance agenda. It is important for you to take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls related to your work. Your responsibilities will involve performing work that relates closely to other areas, requiring an understanding of how different functions coordinate to meet the organization’s objectives. Collaboration with other business areas is crucial, along with engaging in complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to creatively address problems. Effective communication of complex information, which may be sensitive or challenging to convey, is a key component of this role. Finally, you will need to influence stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes while embracing the Barclays values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and stewardship, as well as demonstrating the Barclays mindset of empowerment, challenge, and drive.
