Responsibilities

- Provide first and second level remote and onsite support to National and Regional offices - Escalate any issues to external support partners when necessary - Ensure tickets are always updated - Support rollouts and new regions, which may involve travel within the UK and Europe - Perform physical installations of equipment onsite - Take on support tickets for new equipment and repairs from end users - Forecast orders based on available stock against the number of tickets - Order goods and process respective invoices, maintaining information in an asset management system - Conduct regular stock checks and test equipment returned for recycling - Arrange repairs with hardware vendors - Build and hand over IT devices to our end users - Maintain an appropriate incident log and escalate known errors to line leaders - Test hardware and program updates to verify functionality - Coordinate and direct consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers as required - Run reports on stock movement for the finance team - Maintain a hardware disposal log and ensure asset registers are updated - Help with project deployment of hardware, such as operating system upgrades - Configure and maintain the telephone system for office-based and store colleagues - Create and maintain knowledgebase articles - Communicate business updates, such as outages, to key stakeholders

The role of the National IT Technician allows you to work as part of a dedicated team to support our business by fulfilling incident and request tickets, providing exceptional customer service while adhering to ITIL best practices. While the role is primarily based at our head office in Atherstone, some travel may be required. After successfully completing a three-month probation period, we can accommodate working from home, depending on workload. We offer a starting salary of £31,335, which can rise to £35,020, based on performance. The role is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the opportunity for two days of remote working per week after your probation. You will enjoy 18 paid annual leave weeks, in addition to Bank Holidays, flexible in-office hours, full training, a pension scheme, private employee medical insurance after four years, and a company sick pay scheme.
