Must:
We are looking for a UK-based, experienced WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience integrating WordPress, tuning and improving WordPress implementations
- Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, Sass (including Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap), PHP, and SQL
- Proficiency in ES6 JavaScript, including Node.js and React
- Custom WordPress theme and plugin development experience
- Knowledge of responsive/mobile web development and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with version control, particularly Git
- Docker and containerization skills
- Strong communication abilities, including client-facing experience
- A capacity to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Commercial awareness
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to:
- Lead software support and development projects, as well as engage in research and testing as required
- Attend project meetings when requested by the Delivery Manager or Senior Developer
- Record time spent on each project in detail, on a day-by-day basis
- Stay updated on changes in relevant technology and systems to maintain current technical knowledge
- Build and maintain customer websites and digital services using WordPress, SQL, and PHP
- Support existing solutions and continually improve them through designated work packages
- Ensure the highest level of quality in your work, including design patterns, web security, technical documentation, and application performance
- Lead by example and assist less experienced team members
