Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a visionary architect who has the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Architect, Business Solutions Architect, or Enterprise Business Architect within banking or financial services.
- Experience in designing Target Operating Models or strategic business blueprints at a program or enterprise level.
- A deep understanding of the Compliance and Risk landscape, which includes:
- Policy and control frameworks
- Risk assessment and monitoring
- Investigations, sanctions, and anti-financial crime
- The Three Lines of Defence model
- Strong knowledge of business architecture frameworks (e.g., BIZBOK, TOGAF, Business Architecture Guild).
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate with IT, data, and business teams to design integrated solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work confidently with senior executives.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to structure, plan, and deliver independently without close supervision.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Define and align the business architecture across people, process, data, and technology.
- Collaborate with Compliance, IT, Data, HR, and Change teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control, and compliance maturity.
- Develop business architecture artifacts, including:
- Capability models
- Value streams
- Business service catalogs
- Process and governance frameworks
- Partner with program leadership to create the Transformation and Change Target Operating Model document.
- Act as a trusted advisor during implementation, ensuring designs are translated into practical, scalable solutions.
- Support stakeholder engagement across senior compliance, risk, and technology leaders to secure buy-in for the proposed operating model.
- Design the Target State Business Architecture for EMEA, including capability maps, operating models, and value streams.
- Collaborate with Technology, Data Architects, Compliance, and Risk SMEs to develop a holistic design aligned with business strategy.
- Recommend a comprehensive roadmap for implementing the Target State, balancing business outcomes, costs, and risks.
- Support project teams to ensure alignment with the Target State Business Architecture.
- Lead best practices in business design and process engineering to enhance operational efficiency.
