Must:
We require candidates who have proven experience in an IT support role and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external clients, including senior management levels, using professional language. We expect you to work well under pressure, meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude, and provide exemplary customer service. You should be capable of working independently, completing tasks within given parameters and established practices, and following our integrated ISO management systems, including compliance with ISO data security systems. It's essential to have a regular and punctual presence at work, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely over the phone and in writing. You will also be responsible for completing necessary paperwork and administrative tasks, including timesheets and ticket notes, accurately. The capability to handle varying workloads and remain productive during both slow and busy times is important, as well as exercising patience and professionalism in stressful situations.
Responsibilities
As an IT Project Engineer / IT Infrastructure Engineer, your responsibilities will include delivering and assisting with IT projects across cloud, systems, security, and hardware. You will communicate with stakeholders to recommend IT improvements and provide third-party software advice, along with conducting in-house system testing. Additionally, you will log and resolve issues through our ticketing system while maintaining excellent communication with clients. You will create and update customer documentation and our knowledge base and work to any agreed service level agreements (SLAs), prioritizing and managing multiple open tickets. Building strong working relationships with clients will be crucial. You will also take details of any issues or service requirements from clients, even if outside your direct remit, and escalate them to the relevant team. It's important to take ownership of tickets and manage them until completion, even when elements of the work are delegated. On occasion, you may be required to travel to client sites or other company locations, which may include overnight stays and working out of office hours.
