Requirements
Must:
- I have 5+ years of hands-on experience with at least one major cloud infrastructure provider (AWS or GCP).
- I possess a proven ability to design, build, and operate scalable and secure production systems.
- I have practical experience using Kubernetes in at least one production system at scale.
- I am skilled in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform).
- I have knowledge of CI/CD best practices and can identify and implement improvements to team efficiency.
- I have strong expertise in one of the following programming languages: Python, Go, or Rust.
- I am able to read Rust code.
- I have a combined background in DevOps and software engineering.
- I have demonstrated leadership experience, having managed small teams of at least 2-3 engineers.
Responsibilities
- I will design, build, test, and evolve the platform with a focus on scalability and production reliability.
- I will build and optimize systems that enable the platform to serve hundreds of thousands of users.
- I will lead the Platform team, ensuring that the platform meets the needs of the product, other teams, and end users.
Description
This role offers the opportunity for me to shape the future of the cloud platform and backend components while taking on a leadership position within the Platform team. I will be responsible for guiding the technical direction, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving the development of platform features and operability at scale. The role comprises 70% individual contribution and 30% leadership.
