Lead PHP Developer

In this role, I will oversee the support and development of our existing web application using PHP and Laravel frameworks. I will work with an external development team utilizing a Waterfall methodology and manage end-to-end project lifecycles to optimize performance. I will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and external developers to allocate development resources efficiently. Additionally, I will translate business priorities and user stories into forecast timelines for development work, including the technical effort and resources required. My responsibilities will also include architecting, designing, and developing bespoke web applications and PHP modules with standardized tools. I will engage with stakeholders to create technical requirements based on user stories and conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to developers. My role will involve working with the Project Manager on cost elements related to system operation, third-party applications, and development. I will maintain an ongoing focus on reducing technical debt and backlog, take ownership of our AWS infrastructure, and manage out-of-hours support processes. I will also create and maintain documentation on system architecture, project progress, and software integrations.
