Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone who has a strong background in PHP and Laravel development. You should have experience in high-availability and ecommerce applications, as well as solid database knowledge in MySQL and SQL Server. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and agile practices is essential. You must also have team leadership experience, including stand-ups, sprints, mentoring, and code reviews. A good grasp of cloud infrastructure platforms is important, and any experience with Vue.js, React, or modern JavaScript frameworks, Docker, or DevOps tools would be a plus.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to write and review full-stack code, primarily in PHP/Laravel. You will take ownership of core platform components and systems, lead agile ceremonies, and ensure that delivery runs smoothly. You will also offer structured mentorship to mid and junior developers, drive cloud-based deployment strategies using AWS, Azure, etc., and maintain and optimize database architecture.

This position as a Lead PHP Developer is based in Huddersfield, with an office-based focus (hybrid work is considered).
