Must:
- I have 5 years of professional experience with hands-on development on the Fidessa vendor trading platform (not just integration of other applications with Fidessa).
- I possess a strong understanding of equities trading.
- I have excellent programming skills in languages such as Java and Python.
- I am skilled in Fidessa, Java, equities development, integration, GitHub, Maven, Jira, Confluence, ALGO, containers, tick databases, Nexus, messaging systems, Spring, and Python.
Responsibilities
- I will be responsible for the design and development of cash equities business requirements on the Fidessa order management system.
- I will work closely with regional and global business sponsors to understand their requirements and architect, design, and execute technical solutions.
- I will collaborate with regional and global team members to form high-quality solutions.
- I will provide guidance and mentoring for new team members as necessary.
- I will identify business, technology, and people risks and propose solutions or mitigating controls.
- I will assist with 3rd line support as required.
Description
I am collaborating with a Tier-1 bank to onboard a Fidessa Developer onto their application team. This role involves ongoing development and customization of the enterprise Fidessa cash equities systems in the US and Canada. The job is a contract position based in London, UK, with a salary rate of £500.00 - £700.00 per day.
