Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in Document AI/Intelligent document processing using traditional models and Generative AI, particularly with open source models for achieving business outcomes
- Experience delivering to production in Python, focusing on machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, generative AI, image processing, and OCR
- Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Pytorch, Hugging Face, Spacy, OpenCV, Regex, or equivalents
- Experience delivering safe code to production, emphasizing cybersecurity and resilience of the application and APIs
- Experience using PostgreSQL for data storage and management (desirable)
- Proficiency with Azure core services like Azure Virtual Machines and experience with Azure CLI, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure DevOps (desirable)
- Experience delivering in teams releasing at a high cadence to production (desirable)

- Build production-ready models to drive content extraction and classification from images and text-based sources
- Work closely with business teams to understand requirements and iteratively design and develop solutions
- Collaborate with product managers and technical teams

- Design and build Python/ML/OCR-based components
- Support the full lifecycle of the product, including deployment, testing, and production support of the application
Description
We have an exciting opportunity available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! We are looking for a skilled AI Engineer/Data Scientist to join our team for an initial 6-month contract. This role is based in Sheffield or Birmingham, with three days per week required in the office. We offer a competitive rate of £500 per day inside IR35 and are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
