Must:
As a candidate for the Principal Software Developer position, I expect you to have the following qualifications and experience:
- A strong understanding of Agile values and principles, along with experience in the Scrum framework.
- Proficiency as a .Net developer, including knowledge of the Microsoft stack (C#, .NET Core, SQL, Azure).
- Experience with Angular development.
- Familiarity with test-driven development practices, including unit testing, mocking, and integration testing.
- An understanding of DevOps practices, particularly continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI & CD).
- Experience in cloud environments, ideally Azure.
- A background as a software developer with web or app experience, or both.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication abilities and attention to detail.
- Advocacy for code quality, clean code, and best practices.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to learn and explore new ideas.
- An understanding of Motor Claims, Insurance, and Vehicle Repair is desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the development of our in-house software, Evolve, which is hosted in a cloud environment. You will work closely with both our internal development team and our partner organization’s development team. Your main focus will be on improving the efficiency and capabilities of Solus by leveraging the Microsoft stack in an Agile manner using the Scrum framework. Additionally, you will lead on the technical direction and execution of software projects, ensuring they align with our strategic goals. You will drive innovation, mentor junior developers, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable and maintainable systems.
