Requirements
Must:
- Windows 10/11 troubleshooting
- Active Directory / Microsoft 365 admin
- Basic networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with ticketing systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- 1st Line support experience (desirable)
- Intune, PDQ Deploy or similar tools (desirable)
- Basic PowerShell (desirable)
- Awareness of security/compliance standards (desirable)
- Understanding of regulated environments (PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001) (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve IT support tickets (desktop & remote support)
- Administer users in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Build and deploy laptops/desktops
- Assist with patching, updates, and security tasks
- Support VPN access and endpoint security alerts
- Maintain IT asset records and documentation
- Assist with IT projects and compliance activities
Description
We are Smart Payment Technologies, a company delivering innovative, secure, and tailored payment solutions to businesses across the UK. Our IT team supports a hybrid Microsoft-based infrastructure across multiple UK offices, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our business-critical payment platforms. We are seeking a proactive Junior IT Support Engineer, based in Coalville, with occasional UK travel and some out-of-hours work required. A DBS and credit check will be completed by us, and we require candidates to hold a valid passport.
