Must:
We are looking for a candidate with ideally a Computer Science degree or related discipline. You should have prior hands-on programming experience in any Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language. Additionally, we seek someone with 1-2 years of experience in a Leadership or Engineering Manager role, as well as a strong background in product-focused businesses.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will manage, coach, and support our engineering team. You'll be responsible for creating a technical strategy and budget proposal, implementing it, and monitoring its performance metrics. Furthermore, you will need to communicate engineering team goals effectively and coordinate with internal teams to ensure that project timelines and budgets are met.
Description
This role is designed for someone who has transitioned from a hands-on developer to a team leader with strong technical expertise. While you will not be hands-on in coding, it's crucial to have a foundation in technical concepts, best coding practices, and system design. Your primary goal will be to manage and inspire your squad of Backend Developers and testers to achieve their performance metrics. Our squad will consist of Ruby Developers, but we welcome applicants with diverse programming backgrounds, including Python, Java, .NET, and others.
