Requirements
Must:
- I require you to have at least 2 years of experience in an Excel VBA Application Support role, specifically in 2nd line incident/problem management.
- You should possess strong technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Treasury or trade settlement systems (such as SWIFT, CREST), Microsoft Excel, SQL, Bloomberg/Reuters, or PowerShell scripting. Experience with application monitoring tools is also beneficial.
- I need you to have experience in both 1st and 2nd line support and possess excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
- You must be self-motivated, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality service.
- Lastly, you need to be eligible for SC (Security Check) Clearance.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will provide 2nd line support for internal applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- You will maintain and enhance Excel-based tools, including macros, for reporting and analysis.
- Supporting Power BI dashboards will be part of your tasks, with training provided.
- Collaborating on system change initiatives and representing the team in projects will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will work directly with users to deliver responsive and effective support.
- Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of tools and services.
Description
I am hiring a VBA Developer to join our Application Support team, where you will take a key role in maintaining and enhancing internal tools that support critical business operations. This position is a great opportunity for someone with strong Excel VBA skills and a passion for problem-solving in a collaborative environment. You will be supporting internal users and resolving technical issues while contributing to system improvements. While knowledge of financial markets and Power BI is advantageous, I will provide full training - what matters most is your technical foundation and willingness to learn. This is a fixed-term position based in London (Hybrid), with a salary range of £40,000 - £44,000 for a duration of 23 months.
