Must:
We are looking for a collaborative and adaptable Systems Engineer with strong experience in Linux server administration. You should have a proven ability to support and troubleshoot LAMP or LEMP stacks, along with familiarity in hosting and tuning PHP-based applications. A solid understanding of Windows Server technologies, networking, and administration is also essential. We expect you to have good knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
As a Mixed-Platform Systems Engineer, you will administer, manage, and optimize our Linux servers (Ubuntu and CentOS) across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. You will configure, maintain, and secure web servers (Apache and Nginx) hosting PHP applications, and implement server security using tools such as UFW, iptables, and Fail2Ban. Your responsibilities will also include supporting and maintaining database systems (MySQL and MariaDB), providing operational support for both Linux and Windows Server systems, and assisting Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. You will work closely with our Development teams, participate in architecture discussions, and maintain comprehensive system documentation and operational procedures.
Description
This is a hands-on role, offering you the opportunity to learn and grow within a broad technology stack. You will participate in out-of-hours support on a rotational basis (post-probation) and should be comfortable handling both project work and third-line support escalations when required. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and can engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our hybrid server infrastructure, we want to hear from you!
