Requirements
Must:
- I require a minimum of 5 years of experience developing software or firmware using C/C++.
- You should have hands-on experience working with ARM processors.
- A solid understanding of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography frameworks is essential.
- Familiarity with Windows-based development environments is also necessary.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to design and develop PC Core drivers, device features, and firmware.
- You will be responsible for developing and maintaining thorough test procedures and validation tools to ensure reliability.
- Conducting unit testing and assisting with system-level integration and debugging will be part of your tasks.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions.
Description
We are a Dundee-based company expanding our team and looking for a skilled Software/Firmware Engineer to join our PC Core and Device Team. The successful candidate will contribute to firmware development across a range of devices, including Interface Control Boards, Displays, Touchscreens, PC Motherboards (System Firmware, Drivers), Audio Devices, and USB Hubs. In addition to a permanent contract and a hybrid working model (3 days per week in our Dundee office), we offer a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications, along with an excellent range of additional benefits, including a pension plan, health insurances, and more. We also value additional skills such as experience with C#, Rust, and/or Python, and familiarity with firmware development environments, including RTOS and embedded systems.
