Requirements
Must:
I am looking for a candidate with proven experience in a similar IT support or technician role. You should possess strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, networking, and cloud platforms. Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration is essential. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are a must, and you must have a full and clear Enhanced DBS.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, acting as an escalation point for junior technicians. You will install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals. Managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings across various platforms (e.g., Active Directory, Office 365, Google Workspace) will be part of your responsibilities. You will also monitor and maintain the network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and cabling. Supporting the deployment and management of cloud-based services and applications, ensuring regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data security compliance is crucial. Additionally, you will liaise with third-party vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and warranty issues.
Description
This is a long-term rolling contract based in Chester, and you will need to be available immediately to be considered for the role. The position requires you to work fully on-site, five days a week. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and developing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all technology systems and providing high-quality technical support to users. The hourly rate for this position is £19.
