Requirements
Must:
We expect our ideal candidate to have a strong knowledge of security tools and infrastructure, including WAFs, SIEM, AV, firewalls, and TCP/IP. Familiarity with OWASP, zero-trust, SASE, and risk-based vulnerability management is essential. A background in infrastructure or networks is important, along with progress towards or possession of certifications like CISSP, GCIA, Security, or CCNA/CCNP. Additionally, understanding of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and AAF frameworks is crucial. Excellent communication skills and the ability to create clear technical documentation are needed.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be a key player in our security team. Your main tasks will include providing expert technical guidance on securing IT assets, systems design, and change control. You will lead the technical vulnerability management program, focusing on application security, WAFs, and secure development pipelines. Mentoring junior team members and offering strategic security leadership will also be part of your responsibilities. You will investigate security incidents and support recovery in complex environments, represent security as a subject matter expert across projects and meetings, and drive awareness through training, supplier reviews, and client security assessments.
