Requirements
Must:
- Strong background as a Product Manager within the public sector
- Excellent understanding of GDS frameworks, discovery → alpha → beta → live
- Ability to work on-site in Newcastle when required
- Experience leading technical and user-centred product development
- Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence and communicate effectively
- Experience in fraud, risk, or security-related product areas is a big plus
Responsibilities
- Defining and leading product vision, roadmap, and delivery for key workstreams
- Working closely with engineering, UX, data, and policy teams to build user-centred services
- Applying GDS standards, service design principles, and agile delivery best practice
- Managing product backlogs, prioritising features, and ensuring alignment with wider programme goals
- Engaging with stakeholders across multiple levels to ensure clarity, alignment, and momentum
- Supporting the development of products that help improve fraud detection and prevention
Description
We are supporting a major public sector programme that is looking for a confident, delivery-focused Product Manager to join our team for an initial 6-month contract. This role offers high-impact work on a programme influencing public services nationwide, with flexible hybrid working including on-site collaboration in Newcastle. We offer a competitive £550/day rate, outside IR35, and the opportunity to work within a mature agile and GDS-aligned environment.
