Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (AWS exposure also useful)
- Solid knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Ability to build and deploy cloud solutions independently
- Understanding of security principles: IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring tools, etc.
- Awareness of security frameworks and best practices
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy and manage secure cloud infrastructure, primarily in Google Cloud Platform
- Heavy use of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code to deliver scalable, secure cloud services
- Work with GCP components including BigQuery to support the organisations analytical and data platforms
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, Platform, and AI teams to deliver production-ready solutions
- Apply a security mindset to cloud builds, deployments, and automation pipelines
- Contribute to the design and improvement of the organisations cloud security model
- Work with the AI/Automation team to understand security threats and best practices around emerging AI technologies
- Educate the wider security team on AI-related risks, vulnerabilities, and use cases
- Support monitoring, detection, and incident response within cloud environments
- Help mature vulnerability management processes and security playbooks
- Ensure cloud services align with recognised frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, SOC2, PCI, GDPR)
- Assist with risk assessments for new systems, cloud services, and third-party integrations
- Act as the bridge between the Security team and the AI team
- Work closely with Engineering, Legal, and Technology teams on secure delivery
