Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience in a pathology IT systems department is highly desirable
- Strong technical expertise in troubleshooting issues and managing incidents
- Familiarity with ISO 15189 standards for pathology services
- Experience in system developments, testing, validation, and change management
- Ability to liaise with ICT teams, clinicians, and external suppliers
- Skills in promoting best practices and delivering staff training
- Knowledge of compliance with policies and data protection laws
- Ability to contribute to service improvement and performance reporting
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for pathology IT systems, ensuring reliable operation and accurate data flow
- Support programme activities related to system developments and change management
- Maintain integration across all applications within the pathology IT systems
- Troubleshoot issues and analyze faults while managing incidents effectively
- Promote best practices and deliver training to staff
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and data protection laws
- Contribute to service improvement and business continuity planning
- Supervise and develop junior staff as needed
Description
We are a public sector organization based in Sunderland, seeking a Pathology IT Systems Officer for a fully onsite 6-month contract. This role offers a competitive rate of £400-£500 per day (umbrella). As part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in our ongoing programme of change and support various activities to enhance our pathology services.
