Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone with over 10 years of commercial software development experience, including at least 5 years in a lead developer role. You should have a proven track record of leading small, high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments. Deep expertise in full-stack development is essential, with skills in TypeScript/JavaScript (NextJS, NodeJS, Tailwind), Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI), and PostgreSQL. You should have experience building and scaling SaaS platforms in production, along with a strong background in software architecture, microservices, and API design. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is required. Excellent communication skills to motivate and align technical teams are crucial. Additionally, experience with AI tools, APIs, ML pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ) is desirable.
Responsibilities
In your role, you will lead and mentor a team of 5 Senior Developers, maintaining a hands-on approach with coding and problem-solving. You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring our software is scalable, speedy, and of high quality. You will architect, develop, and maintain core components of our SaaS platform, integrating AI tools, APIs, and data pipelines to enhance platform intelligence. Promoting engineering best practices such as testing, CI/CD, and secure coding standards will be part of your responsibilities. You will conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship, collaborating closely with the Head of AI and Technology to align development priorities with business objectives. Creating a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance, as well as troubleshooting and resolving complex issues to ensure platform reliability and uptime, will be essential aspects of your role.
