Requirements
Must:
- I seek candidates with experience designing cloud data platforms in Azure/AWS or significant on-premise design experience.
- You should have at least 5 years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles.
- I require extensive ETL and data pipeline design experience; being technology-agnostic is essential.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data engineering coding languages such as Python, R, or Spark is necessary.
- A solid understanding of data warehouse and data lake principles is a must.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is important.
- Leadership or mentoring experience within a technical team is desired.
- Agile and/or DevOps project delivery experience, including peer reviews and continuous improvement practices, is preferred.
- Familiarity with backlog management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will shape our approach to the design and development of data solutions using cloud technologies.
- You will set standards for solutions documentation and data governance.
- Leading the promotion of Agile delivery methods is part of your responsibilities.
- You will manage and mentor mid-level to senior team members.
- Staying updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in cloud and data will be crucial.
- You’ll maintain relevant certifications and build strong client relationships.
- Your role will also involve promoting best practices and inspiring continual improvement within the team.
- You will analyze client technology implementations and provide recommendations.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to Data Architects and Data Engineers will be a key component of your position.
- Ensuring technical deliveries meet the required standards for data quality and design is essential.
- You will provide technical expertise in pre-sales processes to help win new business.
- Additionally, you will contribute to developing training plans for junior staff.
