Must:
We seek an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong technical expertise in Networking, Cloud & Hosting, Domain Services, Server OS, Storage, Virtualisation, Databases, Endpoint Protection, and Microsoft 365. You should be proficient in cloud-based mail archiving (Mimecast) and possess an in-depth knowledge of Backup & Recovery solutions for hybrid environments. An advanced understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, particularly Azure, is essential, along with skills in solutions like Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePoint. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, superior analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of vendor licensing models. Experience in disaster recovery planning, simulation, and execution is required, as well as the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be expected to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions that meet our client’s needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of technologies across the organization. Additionally, you will manage cloud-based services, handle disaster recovery planning, and ensure the resilience of the infrastructure.
Description
This interim position is based in Hull, requiring you to be onsite for three days a week and allowing for two days of remote work. The engagement is expected to last between three to six months, with a day rate of £300 - £350, with the IR35 status yet to be determined, likely to be classified OUTSIDE IR35.
