We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing IT support role. Strong imaging and build skills for laptops and mobile devices are essential, along with excellent troubleshooting skills characterized by a methodical and logical approach. Proficiency in Windows OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange is required, as well as a working knowledge of wireless technologies and IT asset management. We value strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with users at all levels. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. A full driving license and access to your own transport are also necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be providing high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support across our organization, ensuring a high level of customer service in line with ITIL principles. Your tasks will include diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. You will be responsible for building, configuring, and deploying laptops, mobile phones, and tablets, ensuring smooth device lifecycle management. Additionally, you will perform system administration tasks, including user management in Active Directory and Exchange. Maintaining accurate records of IT issues, resolutions, and asset management will be crucial, as well as supporting mobile device and application management across Microsoft, Apple, and Android platforms. You will be expected to identify and escalate security risks as necessary and actively participate in strategic IT projects while contributing to continuous service improvement.
Description
This full-time position is based in Driffield, East Yorkshire, with a requirement to be in the office five days a week. We offer an excellent opportunity for an IT professional to enhance our organization's IT infrastructure while working within a dynamic and supportive team environment. The salary for this role is £31,000.
