Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone with essential skills including experience with BigCommerce, particularly with Stencil, and a good understanding of HTML, XML, and CSS (including Sass / SCSS). You should have a solid working knowledge of Handlebars.js and prior experience with dynamic, responsive sites. A strong understanding of JavaScript, alongside good debugging techniques, browser rendering behavior, and performance assessment is crucial.
Desirable skills include experience with Google Analytics and Google Ads, competence in PHP, and familiarity with libraries and toolkits such as jQuery, jQuery UI, Require.js, Grunt, and Gulp.js. Knowledge of OOP and functional programming, as well as asynchronous control flow and AJAX, will be beneficial. Additionally, experience using code versioning tools (Git), JSON, REST/GraphQL APIs, and cloud environments like GCP or AWS would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
As a Front end, mid-level, BigCommerce Developer, I will lead the development of new user-facing features while building reusable code and libraries for future use. I will ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders, I will evaluate requirements, specifications, and perform code analysis, defining problems and developing solutions. I will also be involved in code reviewing and initial QA of peer work.
