We are looking for a Senior C++ Developer with at least 10 years of development experience in C++11 and Boost for creating performant, scalable applications. Ideally, you should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in networking (UDP, Multicasting, TCP, etc.), messaging, and algorithms, as well as considerable experience with Linux systems. A good understanding of modern development best practices and methodologies, including Python and Pytest, is required. Knowledge of capital markets exchange connectivity, particularly on stocks (with an emphasis on fixed income and derivatives) and experience with exchange protocols such as FIX and SBE will be an advantage. Most importantly, we seek someone who has a strong drive to solve complex technological and trading challenges as part of a talented development team. Familiarity with Agile methodology, including continuous integration, sprints, Jira, and related processes, is essential. While understanding cloud technology is a plus, it is not mandatory.
Responsibilities
As a Senior C++ Developer, you will be responsible for coding, testing, integrating, and documenting software. You will provide technical leadership to more junior employees and other teams. You will apply the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the development of complex products. Additionally, you will participate as a Subject Matter Expert in internal reviews of software components and systems. You will tackle some of the most challenging technical problems facing our company, which may often require creativity and innovation. It will be your duty to apply and champion appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development lifecycle to support the generation of technical engineering products. Staying abreast of technology trends and advocating for new ideas and process improvements will also be part of your role.
