Requirements
Must:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong knowledge of administering Linux systems, including installation, upgrading, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Proven experience managing virtualized environments with VMware vSphere (versions 6, 7, or 8)
- Proven experience managing MySQL/MariaDB or other RDBMS
- Ability to create and maintain clear, concise, and detailed documentation
Responsibilities
- Manage 50 virtual servers running different variants of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.), including user management, security, and system upgrades
- Administer, monitor, and maintain our VMware ESXi environment (versions 6, 7, or 8), ensuring optimal performance and uptime
- Regularly apply security patches to all servers, ensure firewalls are properly configured, and implement network-wide firewall rules
- Plan and execute annual server upgrades to the latest stable releases for all Linux systems
