We are looking for a candidate who can drive to our office in Hereford, as our location is not easily accessible via public transport. The successful applicant must hold the full right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
As a Business Systems Engineer, I will collaborate closely with the Business Systems Manager to ensure system stability and continuous improvement. My key responsibilities will include:
- Administering and maintaining SQL Server databases, adhering to Microsoft best practices and standards.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing database performance and security.
- Managing data extraction and delivery to meet critical business and customer requirements.
- Enhancing and maintaining existing SQL code, stored procedures, and database objects that support core business systems.
- Providing support for bug fixes in C# and VB.NET code, with opportunities for further development work.
- Delivering 3rd-line and on-call support for all system and data-related incidents as required.
- Advising senior management on Business Systems market best practices and managing relevant adoption and improvements.
- Producing reports and management information to support the business's information needs.
Description
This position is for a Business Systems Engineer located in Hereford, and it is office-based, requiring daily onsite attendance. The salary for this role is up to £42,000, and it is a permanent position with an expected start date as soon as possible.
