Requirements
Must:
We require proven experience in maintaining mobile or telecom networks within a mission-critical environment. Applicants should possess strong knowledge of telecom protocols, including SS7, GTP, Diameter, MAP, and CAMEL. Experience with network monitoring tools and automation such as Grafana, SNMP, and Syslog is essential. A solid understanding of core network protocols like IPv4, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and familiarity with vendors such as Cisco and Fortinet is expected. Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu, HAProxy) and Microsoft (IIS, MS-SQL) server administration is necessary. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform is an advantage. Additionally, scripting or coding skills (PowerShell, Bash, C#/.Net) would be beneficial. Candidates should have security experience with firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial, along with a willingness to be on-call and travel to data center locations.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the daily operations of our Mobile Core platforms including HLR/HSS, STP/DRA, PGW, and IMS. You will manage our network infrastructure, encompassing switching, routing, and data center operations while monitoring network performance and proactively resolving issues. Driving expansion projects and integrating new partners will be part of your responsibilities, along with troubleshooting network-related issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
Description
We offer a competitive salary between £60k-£65k, along with a bonus structure. This position allows for remote working across the UK.
