Must:
We are looking for candidates with deep expertise in Java and proven experience in ultra-low-latency, high-performance systems. A strong background in electronic trading, ideally in eFX, along with experience in pricing engines, algorithms, or order management systems is essential. Candidates should have skills in multi-threading, GC tuning, TCP/UDP protocols, and performance optimization. Familiarity with test-driven development, automation frameworks, and Agile/DevOps is important. We seek individuals who can provide technical leadership and influence architecture and strategy.
Responsibilities
In this hands-on leadership role, you will design and build low-latency, multi-threaded Java applications for market making and pricing. You will develop and optimize pricing algorithms, order management, and execution logic. Your work will involve engineering algorithm containers and ultra-low-latency applications using TCP/IP, UDP, and GC tuning. Additionally, you will drive automation, performance optimization, scalability, and resilience across platforms. You will lead complex technical initiatives across multiple feature teams and partner closely with front-office stakeholders to deliver impactful trading technology.
Description
This opportunity offers a competitive base salary ranging from £160,000 to £180,000, along with a circa 20% cash/benefits allowance, a pension scheme, and a highly competitive bonus. You will enjoy 30 days of holiday and the flexibility of hybrid working, with just 2 days per month required onsite.
