As the Senior Solution Architect, I need someone who can translate business strategies into solutions architecture by understanding our business drivers and capabilities. You should be adept at determining enterprise system designs and change requirements that align with our targeted business outcomes. It's essential that you stay updated on emerging technology trends and can practically apply existing, new, and emerging technologies to support evolving business models. You will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint and documenting all aspects of solution architecture design and analysis. A strong analytical approach to understanding industry trends, competitors, and their potential impact on our enterprise is crucial. Experience in producing deliverables, such as standard definitions and reference models, is also required.
Responsibilities
You will lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of solutions architecture across a specific range of business applications or technologies. This involves creating architectural designs that guide the contextual development across our products and services. I expect you to craft reference architectures that emphasize design principles and critical decision points. Your role will include analyzing our business-IT environment to detect deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. In orchestrating solutions delivery, you will work closely with project managers and business analysts to ensure governance activities align with our enterprise’s architecture vision.
Additionally, you will facilitate the evaluation of software product standards and support our product managers in making informed decisions on product lifecycle management. You'll also need to monitor the current solution portfolio for deficiencies and identify the organizational and financial impacts of our solutions architecture.
Description
Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with the project delivery team and portfolio management office to ensure execution aligns with project promises. Supporting the product owners and managers will be vital, as you’ll help build a robust architectural runway for future business requirements. Consulting support within agile teams will be part of your duties, ensuring alignment with our overall enterprise architecture. You will also guide and assist agile teams, product owners, and application architects, promoting adherence to our enterprise architecture governance and assurance. Your interactions will extending to internal relationships, including reporting to the Lead Solution Architect and collaborating with project managers, platform teams, and business stakeholders. Additionally, you will engage with external technology vendors and partners to enhance our architectural solutions.
