Requirements
Must:
- I require a detailed understanding of Physics/Mathematical principles at degree-level.
- I look for experience with at least one of the following: Electro-Optics (EO), Infra-Red (IR), or Radio Frequency (RF) sensors and systems within a defence setting.
- You should possess knowledge of RF/EOIR countermeasures across multiple domains.
- I need an understanding of radar theory and modes of operation.
- Experience in line management is essential.
- You must have experience across the engineering lifecycle, including Requirements, Design, Prototyping, Test, Integration, and Deployment.
- I require the ability to write detailed analysis reports on countermeasure performance.
- Technical leadership skills and experience in tasking junior engineers are necessary.
Responsibilities
- In this principal modeller role, I expect you to lead a team of engineers in developing models, designing, and adding new features to our countermeasure software.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the technical work for all team members and line managing senior engineers.
- You will analyse, design, model (using MATLAB/Python/Simulink), and verify countermeasure techniques across various real-world scenarios.
- Your contributions will culminate in delivering solutions to our customers for operational use.
- Mentoring and coaching junior engineers to foster growth within the team is also part of your responsibilities.
- You will assist in technical bid writing and estimation, as well as demonstrate software products to potential customers.
