Must:
We are looking for candidates with a background in 1st line support and a strong understanding of current and emerging technologies. Good communication skills are essential, along with an understanding of end-user requirements. Resourcefulness, problem-solving abilities, and good decision-making skills will enable you to swiftly resolve IT issues. Personal drive to assist colleagues is crucial, alongside the capability to identify risks, issues, and constraints. A solid knowledge of security practices and data protection guidelines is necessary to ensure compliance with our strict regulations. Holding an ITIL certification and having prior experience with ITSM tooling is a plus; however, we provide full training and support where needed to upskill.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of our Service Desk Team, serving as the first contact for all technical support needs of our colleagues. You will provide top-quality support to ensure our end users remain efficient and unaffected by technical issues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing Microsoft Active Directory
- Handling printer management
- Overseeing anti-virus software management
- Supporting Windows 7 and Windows 10, including installation, deployment, NTFS, and share permissions
- Assisting with Microsoft Office applications
- Troubleshooting LAN networking issues and setting up PCs
- Managing laptop and mobile phone deployments
- Supporting secure desktops using Bitlocker and other encryption technologies
- Supporting thin client devices, Citrix XenDesktop, and Azure VMs
- Maintaining service levels of the IT Help Desk
- Collaborating with third-party software vendors
- Providing assistance to IT Infrastructure and IT Development Teams
