Requirements
Must:
- Strong Linux system administration experience, specifically with RHEL and SLES.
- Hands-on experience with IBM Power, VIO, NIM, and HMC/CMC.
- Familiarity with RedHat Satellite, shell scripting (Bash/Korn), and system monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana.
- Experience with automation tools including Ansible and Terraform; exposure to Git, Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Understanding of performance tuning, capacity planning, and high availability architectures.
- Nice to have: Exposure to AIX and cloud services (Azure/AWS), familiarity with ITIL, SAFe Agile, or Prince2 methodologies, and experience supporting SAP HANA or similar enterprise workloads.
Responsibilities
- I will install, configure, and maintain Linux systems (RHEL, SLES) across virtualised environments (VMware ESXi, IBM Power-VM).
- I will monitor and optimise system performance, capacity, and availability.
- I will troubleshoot and resolve 2nd/3rd line infrastructure issues, focusing on root cause analysis and service restoration.
- I will collaborate on the design and deployment of high availability solutions, including SAP HANA platforms.
- I will contribute to automation, monitoring, and compliance across the server estate.
- I will support and lead infrastructure projects that align with business goals.
