Requirements
Must:
We are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator with the following qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2019-2022 and ideally also Windows IIS.
- Experience with backup, recovery, and security practices.
- Proven ability to investigate and diagnose operating system issues.
- Solid understanding of Networking using the TCP stack for issue diagnosis.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting, with a strong belief in automation.
- Experience with systems monitoring.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- While not essential, experience with AWS and Docker is a plus.
Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator, I will work closely with a small team to manage the company’s technical infrastructure. My responsibilities will include:
- Configuring and managing Windows Server 2019-2022, Windows Server IIS, Active Directory, and Hyper-V.
- Collaborating with the Head of Technical Operations and software engineering teams to implement code and monitor performance.
- Assisting with security maintenance for ISO27001 and developing disaster recovery procedures.
- Writing environment documentation, including network diagrams and procedures.
- Troubleshooting performance issues and investigating customer problems.
- Participating in an on-call rotation, providing 24/7 cover one week in every four, for which I will receive an additional 7% of my base salary pro-rata.

This exciting position offers the flexibility to work from home most of the time, with weekly meetings in our Godalming office (which has free onsite parking). The salary for this role is up to £50k, accompanied by a 7% on-call allowance and a bonus.
