We are looking for candidates with strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, along with experience in modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. You should have demonstrated expertise in generative AI technologies, particularly LLM architectures and frameworks. Knowledge or experience in designing and developing digital healthcare tools is essential, as is familiarity with natural language processing and generative AI for medical text analysis, generation, and interpretation. Our ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts, familiarity with high compute cloud-based platforms and services, specifically AWS, and knowledge of code version control and MLOps deployment approaches. You must also possess the ability to understand healthcare challenges and adapt AI solutions accordingly, along with cross-functional adaptability to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
As the Principal, AI Data Scientist, you will support the implementation of innovative, complex, and transformative AI/ML/GenAI solutions across the Clinical Trial Execution and Digital Healthcare areas within our Research and Development teams. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing AI/ML/GenAI solutions to enhance clinical trial operations, patient recruitment, retention, real-time data monitoring, and automated data collection. You will also assist in creating GenAI applications for automated clinical trial documentation and Digital Healthcare applications that improve medical and scientific tools and engage patients. Additionally, you'll design and develop predictive models and generative AI solutions using diverse healthcare data sources, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle business challenges and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards. Facilitating knowledge sharing and exchange within Jazz Data Science and across our Research and Development teams will also be a key part of your role.
Description
We seek an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of related professional experience, including at least 1 year applying AI/ML techniques to healthcare or clinical research data. Experience in healthcare AI implementation is a plus. You should be aware that this position may require occasional mobility within the office environment and involve sitting for extended periods of time while operating computers, printers, telephones, and other office machinery.
