Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Designer who is proficient in AutoCAD and has a good understanding of building practices and industry standards. You should be highly organized, capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail are essential. A proactive, positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt is crucial. While experience in aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors is preferred, it is not essential. You should also be able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to produce accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings for aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors. You will prepare and submit drawings for approval, procurement, and manufacture to meet project deadlines. Additionally, you will plan and manage your workload while providing regular progress updates to the Design Manager. Identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks early in the process is important, as is monitoring project costs and liaising with the QS team on extras and variations. Effective communication with colleagues, contractors, architects, and installation teams will be essential. You will also need to maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, undertake site visits, surveys, and prepare detailed notes. Contributing to safety, efficiency, and optimization through the CDM checklist while working collaboratively within the team, and managing projects independently when needed, will be key parts of your role.
Description
We offer a salary range of £30,000 to £45,000, depending on your skills and experience. This is a flexible hybrid working role, allowing remote work with at least one office day per week.
