We seek hands-on, motivated individuals for the IT Configuration Engineer position. You must be proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and reliable. Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential, as is the ability to follow instructions accurately. A strong attention to detail and a passion for technology and customer satisfaction are necessary. You should be comfortable working both independently and within a team, demonstrating accountability and a focus on quality. Additional requirements include being physically capable of standing for the entire shift, lifting, unpacking, and repacking equipment safely, and the ability to work full-time with flexibility across different shifts. Safety shoes are required on site.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will follow detailed build scripts to configure customer hardware. You'll apply operating system images and software packages to a variety of devices and log any build issues to facilitate incident management. Meeting specific build targets for customer orders is crucial. You will also unpack and repack devices as part of the configuration process and maintain a clean and efficient workspace. Working collaboratively with your team to achieve daily output goals will also be a key aspect of your duties.
Description
This is a physical, team-focused role situated within our configuration department, ideal for those who have a passion for IT hardware and a keen eye for detail. The job involves working varying shifts between 7:00 AM and midnight, with typical shift times including 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and 4:00 PM to midnight.
