Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with experience configuring Juniper equipment and racking servers or network equipment such as switches and routers. You should also have experience patching equipment in network cabinets and possess good, demonstrable knowledge of IP networking. Relevant certifications like CCNA, JNCIA, CCNP, JNCIS, JNCIP, or equivalent are very beneficial. Additionally, you will need to have a Basic DBS check or be willing to apply for one.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage in a variety of tasks, including conducting site surveys, auditing equipment, and producing design documents. You will be responsible for the basic configuration of wireless access points, switches, firewalls, and routers. Network patching, tracing, support, troubleshooting, and testing will also be part of your daily responsibilities. Please note that some weekend and out-of-hours work will be required, and we will provide notice 2-4 weeks in advance for planning purposes.
Description
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing IT consultancy located in Central London, with the potential for permanent work following the initial 6-month contract. You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of local government and enterprise-sized clients, assisting them with the design, configuration, installation, testing, and support of both wired and wireless networks. The role will involve a mix of working from home and on-site at the primary customer location in London Bridge, as well as at other customers within the M25 as needed.
