Must:
We are seeking a candidate with product ownership experience in Payroll, HR, or Pensions environments. You should have a strong knowledge of systems such as Staffology, Payrite, Flexipay, and LGPS/TPS schemes. Comfort in working within Agile methodologies is essential, along with experience using Jira for sprint planning. Proficiency in Excel VBA is mandatory, and familiarity with Power Automate is preferred. We are looking for someone who is stakeholder-savvy and naturally collaborative, with a background in optimising internal tools and service efficiency.
Responsibilities
As the Product Owner, you will own and enhance critical internal platforms used across our education services. You will act as a subject matter expert on payroll and pensions, translating user needs into Jira stories. Collaboration with developers and stakeholders is key as you work to deliver sprint goals on time. You will drive automation initiatives and support the transition from legacy to modern systems, as well as troubleshoot operational issues, including data errors and audit logs. Additionally, you will lead process improvement efforts, documentation, and deployment quality assurance.
