Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experiences:
- Previous experience in a similar role, championing Cloud Operations, DevOps, and SRE principles, approaches, and best practices.
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines (or equivalent tooling).
- Experience working within an Agile environment.
- Proficiency in defining Infrastructure as Code using Azure Bicep, ARM, or Terraform.
- Strong experience using Azure, particularly in designing and developing small infrastructures.
- Understanding of networking infrastructure concepts, including Azure DNS, Azure Firewalls, ExpressRoute, Virtual WANs, and vNet Peering.
- Knowledge of provisioning Azure hosted databases.
- Experience with a hybrid Azure tenant, including infrastructure in physical data centers.
- Expertise in Active Directory Identity and Access Management.
- Familiarity with Platform as a Service features.
- Competence in logging, monitoring, and alerting, including Monitor, Alerts, Dashboards, Sentinel, and Defender.
Responsibilities
As our Senior Cloud Engineer, I will report to the Cloud Operations Lead and be responsible for:
- Providing technical expertise, support, and specialist leadership in managing operational Cloud Operations services.
- Supporting the delivery of projects by taking ownership and leading Cloud Operations-related work packages, tasks, and deliverables.
- Collaborating with various authorities to foster and maintain excellent working relationships with staff at all levels.
- Leading on risk and issue management, owning identified risks through mitigation and closure.
