Senior Azure Data Engineer

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of our organization's data strategy, supporting projects through the full lifecycle—from requirements gathering to design, development, testing, and release. You will lead the implementation of Microsoft Power BI reporting, ensuring solutions align with our business needs and future opportunities. Additionally, you will develop and maintain system architecture in partnership with chosen data and analytics solution providers. Utilizing Azure SQL data warehouse and related Azure services, you will build scalable data solutions and self-service reporting capabilities. It will be your responsibility to ensure appropriate access controls are applied to safeguard data and maintain compliance with governance standards. You will drive efficiency by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, reducing reliance on spreadsheets and legacy tools. Collaborating with stakeholders to define reporting needs will be crucial, as well as translating complex requirements into actionable technical specifications. You will provide expert guidance on data architecture, modeling, and analytics approaches. Promoting best practices across the organization and contributing to policies on data governance is also part of your role. Moreover, mentoring junior BI developers and training stakeholders on the effective use of BI tools will be expected. Maintaining awareness of emerging technologies and continuously developing skills to stay at the forefront of data and analytics will be a part of your ongoing responsibilities.
