Requirements

Must:
- 7–10 years of experience in critical IT operations, incident management, or NOC/SOC leadership within large, complex enterprise environments. - Demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams and drive clear, timely decision-making under high-pressure, high-impact incident scenarios. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of influencing and engaging senior stakeholders (Directors, VPs). - Strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies. - Working knowledge of database infrastructure, with deeper expertise considered a significant advantage. - Hands-on proficiency with enterprise tooling, such as incident management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), collaboration tools (MS Teams), monitoring systems, and project management software. - Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, mission-critical environments, maintaining composure and clarity during escalations. - Willingness to work rotational weekend shifts to support 24x2 Command Center operations for the duration of the migration program.

Responsibilities

- Translate business objectives and risk strategies into secure, scalable architectural designs that align with public-sector requirements. - Evaluate services, applications, suppliers, and security tooling from a technical and security architecture perspective to ensure alignment with the enterprise security posture. - Analyse technical risks across platforms and convert them into clear enterprise-level risk language to support informed decision-making. - Develop cloud-native, secure-by-design solutions that adhere to organisational security frameworks and architectural principles. - Identify opportunities to safely adopt emerging technologies while balancing innovation with regulatory obligations and the organisation’s risk appetite. - Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to embed effective security controls throughout the solution lifecycle. - Provide expert security architecture guidance to stakeholders, advising on threats, mitigations, and best-practice frameworks. - Ensure all architectural decisions comply with relevant standards, policies, and governance requirements across both cloud and on-prem environments.
