We require a Virtual Network Solution Design Architect/Subject Matter Expert (SME) who either holds or is eligible for SC clearance. You should have hands-on experience configuring and building NSX-T services for workload domains within VMware Software Defined Datacentres (SDDC). Proficiency in VMware Aria Operations and Orchestration for network infrastructure provisioning, configuration, management, and monitoring is essential. Additionally, you should have experience deploying NSX Edge virtual appliances using SDDC Manager and have familiarity with network operations, integration, and automation.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment of NSX Global Manager nodes to support NSX Federation across VMware Cloud Foundation instances. You will configure and manage Firewall rules, Distributed Firewall (DFW), and T0/T1 routers. You will also provide solutions that meet security and other relevant standards related to Critical National Infrastructure (CNI). Your work will include conducting testing and reporting results, as well as supporting infrastructure and design firewall requirements.
Description
We are looking for an individual with experience in VCF technologies across multiple sites, and a strong background in a cloud-native environment. Knowledge of Cisco NXOS underlay (excluding ACI) is important, as the requirements will focus on NSXT overlay. Familiarity with Virtual Network Microsegmentation, Network Packet Capture and Inspection, and tools such as F5 and Fortigate Proxy will be beneficial. This is a remote position for a contract length of 2 months, with a rate of £625 per day via umbrella.
