Must:
- Must be willing and eligible to go through the SC clearance process
- Proven interpersonal/communication skills to convey complex information
- Experience working on a range of engineering projects

- VMware vSphere (including vSAN) knowledge is beneficial
- Familiarity with NSX, Omnissa Horizon, and NVIDIA DLS is beneficial
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/19/22 and Windows Clients 10/11
- Knowledge of Linux Ubuntu, WSUS, and Linux patching
- Understanding of Anti-virus/Malware Management and Web Proxying and Filtering Management
- Experience with Single Sign-On Management
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and support to IT projects and programs
- Work with project managers and technical leads to deliver IT solutions
- Lead the delivery of complex technical tasks as directed by the Technical lead
- Engage with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain and improve the Strike Net Experimentation Environment alongside a Network Engineer
- Provide Level 3 support for all Strike Net Infrastructure
- Support Secure by Design implementation
- Create user guides and work instructions
- Develop design or process documents
- Oversee hardware or software builds
- Manage system installation or integration
- Support configuration and control activities
- Deliver technical presentations and documentation
- Create test plans and reports
- Undertake the delivery of standard tasks independently
- Provide new perspectives and challenge existing solutions for new tasks
- Contribute to process improvements
- Mentor junior colleagues
- Support the technical aspects of proposals
- Provide estimation of effort required for tasks
Description
We are seeking a skilled SC Cleared Server Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth for a 6-month project with a possibility of extension. In this role, we will rely on your technical leadership to deliver IT solutions and engage with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of IT projects. You will enjoy the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and mentor junior colleagues while contributing to project improvements.
